Located in Providence, Rhode Island Hospital has served patients from across New England since its founding in 1868. Today, the hospital stands as the leading teaching and research hospital in the state through its affiliation with Brown University and offers a range of world-class services, including a robust emergency medicine department. The only Level I trauma center in Rhode Island, the Andrew F. Anderson Emergency Center at Rhode Island Hospital treats more than 100,000 critically ill and injured patients each year.
